Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist

The Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist at TruStile will drive initiatives for continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing methodologies to enhance the overall performance of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify waste and implement improvements.
  • Partner with maintenance and production personnel to derive best workflow solutions.
  • Develop waste reduction plans and provide ROI justifications for improvement projects.
  • Utilize 5S principles to organize product workflows and workstation set-ups.
  • Create standard work for critical processes that incorporate maintenance schedules to ensure process reliability.
  • Establish consistent work procedures across all shifts based on best practices to ensure predictable outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Equivalent education and experience as a Manufacturing Engineer would be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, with responsibility for project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and lead corrective change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise or formal training in lean manufacturing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills with the ability to create tools for data collection.
  • MS Forms, Power BI and/or MS Excel.
  • Experience working with CNC controls is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is indoors in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work (factory) environment is usually moderate.
