Job Summary

The TruStile Manufacturing Engineer is a hands-on professional responsible for driving initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and quality within the manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies and the ability to collaborate with maintenance and production personnel to derive best workflow solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify waste and implement improvements
  • Partner with maintenance and production personnel to develop and implement best practices
  • Develop and maintain detailed work instructions for new production equipment
  • Develop waste reduction plans and provide ROI justifications for improvement projects
  • Utilize 5S principles to organize product workflows and workstation set-ups
  • Create standard work for critical processes to ensure process reliability
  • Establish consistent work procedures across all shifts based on best practices
  • Provide ongoing support to production to create a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
  • Equivalent education and experience as a Manufacturing Engineer would be considered
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for project scope, timeline, and budget
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and lead corrective change initiatives
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise or formal training in lean manufacturing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills with the ability to create tools for data collection
  • MS Forms, Power BI, and/or MS Excel
  • Experience working with CNC controls is a plus
Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The work environment is indoors in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work (factory) environment is usually moderate.

This position is not eligible for hybrid work scheduling.
