About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Goldenley Care Home in South Benfleet, Essex. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing physical, emotional, and social support to our residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside and mentor a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care
  • Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect
  • Create person-centred care plans and risk assessments to ensure successful delivery of care
  • Report to the Home Manager and work directly with ancillary teams and other Senior Care Assistants
Requirements
  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in a nursing or care home or as a home care worker
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks - Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering with dementia is desirable
  • Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable
