About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings' Goldenley Care Home in South Benfleet, Essex. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our dedicated team to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside and mentor a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care and support
  • Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect
  • Contribute to the creation of person-centred care plans and risk assessments, ensuring regular updates and reviews
  • Work collaboratively with ancillary teams and other Senior Care Assistants to achieve exceptional care standards
Requirements
  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ
  • Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable
  • Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable, with full training and support provided
