About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care to our residents, working alongside and mentoring a team of Care Assistants to ensure that our high standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect
  • Work collaboratively with the Care Team to develop and implement person-centred care plans
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and supportive care environment
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the Care Team

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care OR three years' experience without an NVQ
  • Experience in a nursing or care home OR as a home care worker
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks – Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering with dementia is desirable
  • Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system would be desirable – full training and support will be provided
