Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team at Henderson Scott. As an Infrastructure Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing hardware and software configuration support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and audit IT hardware and software assets to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Administer the Asset Database and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to track and manage assets.
  • Administer the Licence Management database to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Act as the focal point for hardware and software acquisition, liaising with the Procurement Team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Job Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function using best practices to ensure efficient and effective asset management.
  • Oversee daily management of hardware and software asset information to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the asset database by conducting regular audits and verifications.
  • Maintain key asset details, including location, quantities, and identifiers to ensure seamless asset management.
  • Coordinate with Programme, SSL, and customer personnel to meet asset management needs and ensure compliance with Programme and customer constraints.
  • Manage the hardware bill of materials and coordinate asset procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Provide monthly performance metrics and reports to support SLAs and demonstrate asset management efficiency.
  • Conduct audits to verify accuracy and consistency in equipment management and ensure compliance with security and best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience of operating service support function(s) within an enterprise environment.
  • IT Hardware and software auditing and management expertise.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and experience working with third-party suppliers.
  • Inventory Management knowledge and experience managing hardware and software assets in medium to large environments.
Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of IT hardware, software, and systems.
  • Experience working within SLA frameworks and monitoring KPIs.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes.
  • Proficient in asset and configuration management tools and techniques.
