Hardware and Software Integration Specialist

As a Hardware and Software Integration Specialist with Thales UK, you will play a key role in supporting the development, integration, design proving, installation and acceptance activities associated with maritime sensor technologies and combat system integration on Royal Naval ships, submarines and aircraft.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) organisation within the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) domain. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for delivering high quality, robust hardware and software solutions that meet customer requirements, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing test and trials strategies, writing and conducting associated test procedures and documenting test results
- SUPPORTING THE INTEGRATION BETWEEN INBOARD AND OUTBOARD EQUIPMENT AND BETWEEN THALES AND THIRD PARTY EQUIPMENT
- Supporting the wider Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification activities required to introduce MMS system solutions into service
In addition to technical expertise, we are looking for strong written and verbal communication skills, an ability to work as a key member of the team and a methodical and structured approach to problem investigation.
Technical qualifications include a Technical Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in Electrical & Electronic or Mechanical Engineering. Three years or greater experience in an equivalent role or transferable knowledge and experience from relevant underpinning roles e.g. Systems/Hardware/Firmware/Software engineering is also required. A full UK driving license is essential.
