About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Investment Director to join our Private Markets team. As an Investment Director, you will be responsible for leading the underwriting, monitoring, and management of indirect Private Equity investments (funds and co-investments) and coordinating the approach to indirect investments across the Private Markets Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead PE co-investment and PE fund underwritings directly, with direct responsibility for key GP/sponsor relationships.
  • Participate in portfolio management by recommending solutions and suggesting changes to portfolio construction.
  • Represent the Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited on limited partner advisory boards and within industry.
  • Proactively participate in operational aspects of the Private Markets Group, suggesting and implementing efficiencies or changes in process, procedures, or structure.
  • Assist the Head of PE in managing the mandate's operations, including scheduling PE AC's and PE Team Meetings.
  • Assist the PE team with fund monitoring reports and provide line management to individual Analysts.
About You

We are looking for an experienced private equity professional with a strong track record of investing in funds and co-investments. You will have a thorough understanding of partnership agreements, excellent financial modelling skills, and a degree in a finance-related subject from a top-tier university or a postgraduate qualification.

You will be able to manage teams to deliver high-quality work under constrained timelines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple workstreams. You will also have the ability to influence and negotiate to fulfill investment objectives.
