Learning and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Officer to join our team at PA Housing. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving the achievement of our goals by delivering impactful development programs.
Key Responsibilities- Health & Safety Training: Manage the deployment of H&S training as per the H&S Training Matrix, ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational policies. Maintain records and evaluate training outcomes through iGrow.
- Learning Quality & Evaluation: Ensure high-quality learning experiences through robust evaluation processes, addressing any issues that arise.
- Development Review Process: Oversee the yearly development review process, supporting line managers to align individual and organisational needs, and enhance performance capabilities.
- Compliance Learning: Manage compliance training to meet legal, regulatory, and business requirements cost-effectively, with monthly reports on individual and business compliance.
- Professional Qualifications & Apprenticeships: Handle the approval process for professional qualifications and apprenticeships, ensuring adherence to internal processes, monitoring progress, and providing support for successful completion.
- Induction Process: Monitor and improve the induction process, ensuring it meets reporting requirements.
- Learning Activity Recording & Reporting: Maintain the integrity of learning activity records and provide necessary management reports.
- LMS & IT Systems: Utilise LMS/IT systems for scheduling, digital learning development, attendance recording, and collaborative information sharing.
- L&D Initiatives Support: Assist in delivering various L&D initiatives as required.
- Internal Representation: Represent L&D in internal meetings, project groups, and advisory groups.
- Team KPIs Achievement: Contribute to the achievement of team KPIs.
- External Representation: Represent L&D and PA Housing at external events, such as networking events, forums, and resident engagement activities.
- Resident Learning Offerings: Develop and deliver learning programs to support residents in enhancing employability and life skills
- Preferred but Not Essential: A formal training qualification is advantageous.
- Expertise in Learning Solutions: Highly proficient in scoping and designing effective learning solutions and materials.
- Comprehensive Training Knowledge: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the full training cycle.
- Engaging Trainer: Capable of engaging a diverse range of learners through both face-to-face and virtual platforms.
- Proven Training Delivery: Experience in delivering various training initiatives.
- Cost-Effective Negotiator: Skilled at identifying and managing suppliers to negotiate cost-effective solutions.
- Workload Planning and Forecasting: Strong ability to plan and forecast workloads, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
- Process and Workflow Management: Effective at managing processes and workflows using IT systems (LMS).
- IT Proficiency: Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, or equivalent.
- E-Learning Tools: Proficient in using course authoring tools for e-learning.
- Data: Capable of generating precise and detailed reports on data and metrics.
