Emotional Wellbeing Specialist - Oxford

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Emotional Wellbeing Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide emotional support and guidance to students who have difficulties managing their emotions and social behaviour. These students come from backgrounds where they have experienced adverse childhood experiences, leading to trauma, anxiety, and depression. Your role will be to help these students develop strategies to manage their emotions and behaviour, and improve their overall wellbeing.

Our School:

The school we work with is an exceptional institution that prioritises the education and mental wellbeing of its students. They offer a supportive environment and fun classes, which provides an ideal setting for our students to thrive.

A Day in the Life:

You will spend your day working with students, teachers, and other support staff to create a positive and nurturing environment. This includes assisting with daily tasks, setting up for lessons, clearing up afterwards, and managing classroom behaviour. You will make a significant difference in the lives of these children.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must be proactive, patient, adaptable, and thrive in fast-paced environments. A confident and determined individual with a passion for education and helping vulnerable children will excel in this position. Previous experience working with children presenting challenging behaviour is desirable, but attitude and personality are equally important. You will be a role model for these children and add value to their educational journey.
