Job Title: Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at a school in BS16. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting a child with additional needs, providing individualized support to help them thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with autism, helping them to build trust and develop positive relationships with teachers and peers.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the child's individual needs.
  • Support the child's emotional and mental well-being, helping them to develop social skills, build confidence, and regulate their emotions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support plan.

Requirements:

  • Positive, proactive, and patient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, taking advice from colleagues and senior staff, and sharing ideas and expertise.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to support children in achieving their full potential.
