Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team at Shaw healthcare in Carmarthen, West Wales.

The successful candidate will support the manager in leading and supervising a large staff team to deliver exceptional standards of care. This role is crucial in maintaining and further developing our care principles, which centre on 'wellness, happiness, and kindness'. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with local community, GP's and professionals to deliver person-centred care that enables residents to lead fulfilling lives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Service Manager in providing leadership to staff to achieve high-quality care within a safe working environment.
  • To coordinate and lead the nursing team to provide high-quality care and support, promoting dignity, privacy, safety, and independence for everyone.
  • To ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • To effectively manage the nursing unit, ensuring smooth operations and liaising with external health professionals.
  • To provide clinical leadership and supervision within the service.
  • To be accountable for Infection Control implementation and audit throughout the service.
  • To monitor and maintain standards of nursing and care provision, aligning with Shaw healthcare's vision and policies.
  • To manage admissions and discharges as per contract and liaise with external health professionals.
  • To ensure effective supervision and annual appraisal of employees, achieving required performance standards.

Requirements:

  • Nurse Qualified with a valid NMC Pin.
  • Experience of supporting individuals with physical disabilities.
  • A strong knowledge of person-centred care.
  • Ability to assess needs and deliver care plans that promote independence and well-being.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits package including 35 days' annual leave, Employee Ownership Trust, company maternity pay, and individualised professional development programmes.

Location: Ty Cwm Care service, Carmarthen, West Wales.
