Job Overview

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced employment specialist to join our Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service. As a Mental Health Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with severe mental health issues to gain, sustain, and retain paid employment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support a caseload of up to 20 individuals with significant mental health issues who are unemployed or struggling in the workplace.
  • Work directly with clients, clinicians, consultant psychiatrists, employers, and Job Centre Plus to enable clients to gain, sustain, and retain paid employment.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with and supporting people who have mental health issues into employment.
  • Excellent motivational, communication, and listening skills.
  • A high level of organisation and perseverance.
  • Able to travel across three localities in Berkshire west.
