About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our Community Stroke and Neuro Therapy team in North East Lincolnshire as a Therapy Support Specialist.

The successful candidate will provide vital assistance to our therapy staff in organizing and delivering efficient, effective patient care. This will involve working in the community, in patients' own homes, and requiring the ability to safely transport self and equipment around the required geographical area during the course of their working day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support therapy staff with patient treatments, following specific treatment plans and providing necessary equipment.
  • Assist with clerical and administration duties directly supporting the therapy team.
  • Travel to and work in different settings, including patient homes, care home facilities, and local leisure facilities.
  • Collaborate with therapists to support treatment programs, data collection, and equipment ordering.
  • Visit patient homes on their own to carry out specifically defined interventions.
  • Perform non-clinical administrative duties, such as collating information and maintenance/delivery of equipment.
Requirements
  • Level 1 Functional skills Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE equivalent D-E)
  • Experience working with people, with good communication skills and the ability to relate well to people in all arenas.
  • Competent IT skills and the ability to work independently with delegated tasks.
  • Access to transport and the ability to travel within the required geographical area.
  • Able to deal with people who may be distressed or anxious with sensitivity.
  • Excellent organisational and timekeeping skills.
