We are looking for a passionate and motivated Cook to join our team at Sketchley Hall School. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing healthy meals for students and staff. Your creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene will ensure that our kitchen and associated areas meet the required care standards.
Job Details
This is a full-time position, working # hours per week, with flexible working arrangements available. The successful candidate will have experience in a school or similar setting, preferably in a culinary role, and a Level 2 Food Safety qualification.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking meals for students and staff, ensuring that they meet nutritional requirements and dietary needs.
- Planning and managing menus, taking into account student preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Supervising kitchen staff and providing guidance on food preparation and presentation.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements, particularly in relation to children and young people.
- Experience in a school or similar setting, preferably in a culinary role.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) and a Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
