Role Overview
Housing Policy and Performance Specialist will support the delivery of high-quality services to residents in North Yorkshire. The role involves working closely with the Strategy and Performance Team to develop policy frameworks, ensuring harmonization of strategies, policies, and procedures across Landlord Services and Housing Standards functions.

About the Role
This is an exciting time to join the Housing Service at North Yorkshire Council, where we have a new ambitious Housing Strategy setting out our vision for the future of housing. As a Strategic Housing Service Improvement Officer, you will work on improvement projects, contributing to the delivery of the Housing Improvement Plan. You will also oversee service data, maintaining relevant data and evidence bases to support and shape housing delivery and service improvement priorities.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to improve service delivery and efficiency
* Work closely with the Tenant Involvement Team to ensure consultation with tenants and their voice is heard in service development
* Maintain accurate service data, working with the Housing Asset Manager to ensure data is used to inform decision-making

Requirements
* In-depth knowledge of current and emerging policy and legislation regarding Housing and Social Housing
* Experience in developing strategy and policy
* Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform decision-making
