Academic Assessor and Teaching Fellow

We are seeking an experienced registered nurse or nursing associate to join our team as a Teaching Fellow and Academic Assessor for the Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship programme.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the teaching and assessment of apprentices on our Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship programme. As a Teaching Fellow, you will contribute to the development and delivery of teaching modules, while as an Academic Assessor, you will work with apprentices and their Practice Assessors to support their development and progress.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the teaching modules on the programme
- Meet with apprentices and their Practice Assessors three times a year to support their development and progress
- Prepare and run academic assessor meetings with apprentices and follow up with admin tasks, including identifying areas for development and setting out action plans
- Work with the Deputy Programme Manager to ensure all apprentices are benefiting from and engaging with clinical placements and protected learning time
We are looking for an experienced registered nurse or nursing associate with a strong grounding in healthcare, both from an academic and professional perspective. You will need to have a thorough understanding of the requirements of the role of the Nursing Associate and be a skilled teacher and communicator.
You will also need to have an excellent understanding of healthcare practice and the NMC standards for Nursing Associates and Supervision and Assessment in Practice.
