Job Title: Senior Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Disabled Children's Team in Kent County Council. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing support and guidance to our team members, while also contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Social Workers and Social Work Assistants
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced staff
  • Deliver reflective practice sessions to the team
  • Support the team manager in their absence
  • Contribute to the development of our services and policies

Requirements:

  • Experience in Children's Services, including child protection and safeguarding
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
  • Ability to work with children and their carers and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
