We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical professional to join our team as a Lecturer (Small Group Facilitator) in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our undergraduate BMBS programme and play a key role in the development of our students.
The Role
As a Lecturer (Small Group Facilitator), you will be responsible for leading small group sessions with our undergraduate students, providing guidance and support to help them develop their personal and professional skills. You will also act as a personal tutor for the academic year, monitoring students' individual academic progress and providing feedback and guidance as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead small group sessions with undergraduate students, using a range of teaching methods to engage and motivate learners
- Develop and deliver curriculum content, ensuring that it is relevant, up-to-date and meets the needs of our students
- Provide guidance and support to students, helping them to develop their personal and professional skills
- Act as a personal tutor for the academic year, monitoring students' individual academic progress and providing feedback and guidance as needed
- Contribute to the development of our undergraduate BMBS programme, working with colleagues to design and deliver curriculum content
Requirements
- Be medically qualified and registered with the GMC
- Have experience of teaching and facilitating small group sessions
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of our undergraduate BMBS programme
