Job Summary:- As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the Deputy Charge Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient care needs, evaluating care plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. They will work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide specific care and manage a ward area in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
- The post holder will be accountable for maintaining both clinical and staff governance, ensuring a safe and effective work environment.

This position requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If they are not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
NHS Scotland is transitioning to a 37-hour working week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also apply pro rata for part-time staff. However, some service areas may require temporary adjustments to working patterns, and you may be asked to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a short period.
