Job Summary:

  • As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the Deputy Charge Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient care needs, evaluating care plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
  • The post holder will work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver specific care and manage a ward area in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
  • The Deputy Charge Nurse will be accountable for maintaining clinical and staff governance, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient care needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Manage a ward area in the absence of the Charge Nurse, ensuring continuity of care
  • Maintain clinical and staff governance, ensuring compliance with NHS Scotland policies and procedures
