PSV/HGV Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced and ambitious PSV Mechanic to expand our team at Arriva's Blyth Depot, a comprehensive commercial workshop with a great team ethos. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles operate in a safe and roadworthy condition.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses to the strict standards set by Arriva and the DVSA.

• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
• Fault finding and reactive repairs
• Ensuring all vehicles operate in a safe and roadworthy condition

The role also involves:

• Servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
• Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
• MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks
• Vehicle fault diagnosis, ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva standards

Requirements:

• Qualifications for HGV/PSV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent qualification
• A full UK driving licence with 6 points or less
• Ability to be passed fit for a pre-employment medical
