Furness Education Trust seeks experienced and dedicated individuals to fill General Catering Assistant positions at its esteemed Furness Academy. Successful applicants will be responsible for supporting catering operations, working collaboratively with colleagues, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in kitchen areas.

This part-time contract includes 12.5 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, during term time only, with additional weeks worked during school holidays. Compensation for this position is estimated at £15,000 - £17,500 annually, commensurate with local market rates.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Serve meals to students and staff, ensuring prompt and courteous service.

  4. Respond to queries and requests from students and staff in a professional manner.

Requirements and Qualifications

Successful candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills, be able to lift moderate weights, and have prior experience in food handling and customer service. A valid food hygiene certificate would be advantageous.
