About the Role

At Avery Healthcare, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our friendly and award-winning team as a Housekeeping Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry in our care homes.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with our standard operating procedures and ensure that hotel service standards are maintained.
• Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensure that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all you do. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments. You will also need to have experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting and demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
