Defence Food Service Chef

We're seeking an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Defence on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • A passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service.
  • Holding a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification.
  • Experience supervising a team in a similar Chef role.
  • A Food Hygiene certificate.
  • A flexible approach to working.

About the Role:

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers. You will oversee menu changes, identify opportunities to improve our food services, and listen to customer feedback to consistently improve our offerings.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing delicious, high-quality food that meets our clients' and customers' expectations.
  2. Overseeing and implementing menu changes to ensure consistency and quality.
  3. Identifying opportunities to improve our food services and implementing positive changes.
  4. Listening and acting on customer feedback to continuously enhance our services.
  5. Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
  6. Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
  7. Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked.
  8. Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards.
  9. Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations.
