About the Role

Achieving for Children is seeking a Family Group Conference Coordinator to facilitate meetings and empower family members to make decisions about their children's care. The ideal candidate will have experience in arranging and completing family group conferencing, as well as knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange and organize family group meetings
  • Empower family members to make decisions about their children's care
  • Assist referrers and professionals in preparing FGC agendas and questions
  • Facilitate the participation of children and young people in the decision-making process
  • Develop and maintain relationships with family members and professionals

Requirements

  • FGC accreditation is essential
  • Previous experience in arranging and completing family group conferencing
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
