About the Role

Achieving for Children is seeking a skilled Family Group Conference Coordinator to facilitate meetings and empower family members to make decisions about their children's care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange and organize Family Group Conferences
  • Assist family members in making decisions about their children's care
  • Work with referrers and professionals to prepare conference agendas and questions
  • Facilitate participation of children and young people in the conference
  • Use mediation skills to resolve differences of opinion

Requirements

  • FGC accreditation is essential
  • Previous experience in arranging and completing Family Group Conferences
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and mediation skills
