Hospital Admissions Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our Admissions Team as a Hospital Admissions Officer. This role will involve meeting and greeting patients, welcoming them to the Hospital and escorting them to their room. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing admissions, dealing with deposits and medical insurance, and preparing patient files.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage admissions, including admitting patients, dealing with deposits and medical insurance, and escorting patients to their rooms.
- Admit patients onto the Pims system and update any new or changed patient details.
- Print and collate paperwork for next day's admissions.
- Retrieve and prepare patient notes.
- Process paperwork for patient bookings and send relevant information to patients before admission.
- Liaise with sponsoring bodies, including Embassies, regarding patient sponsorship.
- Present a high standard of customer care in dealing with patients, secretaries, and consultants.
- Collect, replenish, and deliver trolleys for assembly of patient notes.
- Deal with general telephone enquiries.
- Be responsible for the replenishing of office supplies.
- Perform general office filing.

Person Specification
- Previous relevant experience working in a medical or healthcare environment or undertaking a similar role.
- Organisation skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Professionalism and courteousness.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proven IT skills.
- The ability to work accurately and with a high volume of work during peak times.
- The ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
- Ability to ensure that all information is recorded accurately.
