We are currently seeking a skilled Flexographic Printer to join our team in Wigan. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our flexographic print machines, ensuring high-quality prints and adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate print machinery to optimize print quality and efficiency, maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to regulatory standards.
Conduct regular print inspections and troubleshoot issues with the printing press or print quality, seeking guidance from colleagues in Technical and Quality when necessary.
Maintain lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and SMED, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within Production.
Complete all paperwork and electronic data in a timely manner, ensuring accurate shift handovers and briefing the next shift on production status and any relevant issues.

Requirements:

Fully trained Flexographic Printer with relevant print qualifications, such as City + Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3.
Additional qualifications, such as fire safety and first aid, are advantageous.
Good level of literacy and numeracy, preferably GCSE level in English and Maths or equivalent.
Extensive flexographic print experience, specifically with solvent-based inks and wide-web presses.
Experience with Fischer + Krecke 16S or Bobst 20SIX CI print machines is an advantage.
Strong background in manufacturing, either label or packaging printing.
Considerable exposure to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards and practices within a production setting.

Shift Pattern:

The role operates a 12-hour shift pattern across a 2-week shift pattern, with a reasonable level of fitness required due to physical activity involved.
