Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Radiographer Dosimetrist to join our Radiotherapy Physics team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust.

About the Job

As a Senior Radiographer Dosimetrist, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective specialist dosimetry service to the Radiotherapy Department. This will involve working closely with other team members to ensure that patient data is accurate and available for treatment planning. You will also be responsible for producing complex radiotherapy treatment plans to prescription and agreed procedures, using systems such as Varian and Eclipse. Additionally, you will supervise staff within the RDS and provide support and advice as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist dosimetry services to the Radiotherapy Department.

Person Specification

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a degree in Therapeutic Radiography or a related field and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also need to have post-qualification experience of working in treatment planning, preferably with Varian and Eclipse systems. Additionally, you should have experience of planning a range of treatment sites and supervising staff. Evidence of teaching and training others is also desirable.

Benefits
