Senior Employee Communications Program Manager

The Senior Employee Communications Program Manager will partner with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to create and execute a strategic internal communications plan that aligns with the business objectives, values, and mission of the company. This role requires a cross-functional and multi-media approach to deliver timely and authentic communications across the company that not only informs but supports action and a strong forward direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage ongoing internal communication strategy, plans, channel strategies, and execution.
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Plant Directors, and others to plan and craft internal announcements and other internal communications.
- Accountable for the planning and execution of Town Halls, Q & A sessions, video creation of Leadership messages.
- Manage the internal communications news site, serve as "editor-in-chief" and create compelling and helpful stories and content to share with our internal community.
- Actively solicit employee feedback and inputs to assess the effectiveness of the communications approach.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business, or related field is required.
- Master's Degree in Communications, Human Resources, and/or Business preferred.
- 7 years Direct internal communications experience, from strategy to administration required.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing multiple methods to build and deliver a strong communications plan required.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting, editing, and distributing communications intended for mass distribution required.
- Previous experience in a company with remote employees and multi-sites.
- Demonstrated experience in managing both routine and urgent communications required.
- Demonstrated experience in using data, metrics, analytics to build and evolve the internal communications plan required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/CPG environment preferred.
- Strategic thinker with experience in managing crises and handling sensitive issues, including competitive, regulatory, community, and social issues.
- Ability to thrive, adapt, and work in a fast-paced, multi-site, and fluid environment.
- Ability to multi-task and handle high-pressure situations and occasionally be available for after-hours and weekend work, on occasion.
- Willingness to serve as, and balance, both the lead and the implementor roles, as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communications required.
- Empathy for both employee concerns and morale, the challenges of leadership, and understanding of business conditions will be needed.
- Discretion and ability to protect sensitive information is absolutely mandatory.
- Collaborate and interact at all levels.
- Listening and feedback gathering.
