Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Midwifery Unit Manager to lead our labour ward team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our maternity service delivers high-quality patient care.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the labour ward, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • They will work closely with our clinical and managerial leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve clinical quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the labour ward, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement policies and audits to improve clinical quality and patient care.
  • Establish strong relationships with clinical and managerial leaders to ensure operational delivery is patient-centred.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
