Fabrication Contracts Manager Job Description

CV Library is seeking an experienced Fabrication Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the overall direction of specific jobs and projects, ensuring consistency with our company strategy, objectives, and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project requirements.
  2. Proactively seek new business opportunities to drive growth and sustainability for the company.
  3. Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  4. Provide clear direction on project quality requirements.
  5. Manage quotations and estimates for work scopes, defining resource requirements.
  6. Lead the planning and implementation of work scopes.
  7. Liaise with the team to assemble and coordinate project staff.
  8. Manage project budget, ensuring accurate accounting, costing, and billing.
  9. Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and manage project change.
  10. Provide direction and support to project teams and report progress accordingly.
  11. Assist in recruiting and managing specialists and sub-contractors.

Key Skills:

  1. Strong background in fabrication and installation.
  2. Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  3. Evidence of work winning.
  4. Proven track record of securing new client bases and managing existing client portfolios.
  5. Demonstrable experience in producing estimates and negotiating orders.
  6. Strong Health & Safety and Quality ethic.

  1. Ability to navigate ambiguity and effectively manage changing priorities.
  2. Excellent time management, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to recognise customer requirements.
  4. Good planning and analytical skills, assertive and articulate.
