Fabrication Contracts Manager Job Description

OLG Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fabrication Contracts Manager to join our client based in Grimsby. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for the overall direction of specific jobs and projects scopes, ensuring consistency with company strategy, objectives, and goals.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as the first point of contact for clients in relation to project requirements.
  2. Proactively seek new business opportunities to ensure growth and sustainability for the company.
  3. Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  4. Provide clear and concise direction on project quality requirements.
  5. Be responsible for quotations and estimates for work scopes, defining resource requirements.
  6. Lead the planning and implementation of work scopes.
  7. Liaise with the team to assemble and coordinate appropriate project staff.
  8. Manage project budget, ensuring accurate accounting, costing, and billing for the project.
  9. Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and manage project change.
  10. Provide direction and support to project team and report progress accordingly.
  11. Assist in recruiting and managing specialists and sub-contractors.
  12. Produce risk assessments, method statements, and quality plans.

Key Skills
  1. Strong background in fabrication and installation.
  2. Demonstrable experience of a similar role.
  3. Evidence of work winning.
  4. Proven track record of securing a new client base and managing an existing client portfolio.
  5. Demonstrable experience of producing estimates and negotiating orders.
  6. Strong Health & Safety and Quality ethic.

  3. Ability to recognise customer's requirements.
  4. Good planning and analytical skills, assertive and articulate.
