About the Role

AESC UK is a leading manufacturer of electric vehicle batteries, operating a state-of-the-art Gigafactory in Sunderland. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Management Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of our Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Quality Management System: Further develop and benchmark AESC UK's Quality Management System, which is independently certificated to IATF16949:2016.
  • Ensure Compliance and Customer Satisfaction: Develop a program of audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements.
  • Internal Audits and Quality Management: Conduct internal QMS audits to plan, coordinate, and facilitate customer audit and third-party audits.
  • Quality Management System Standardisation: Facilitate Quality Management System standardisation in the UK and with other global regions.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: HNC or equivalent in related Quality Assurance/Systems/engineering or science subject.
  • Lead Auditor Certification and Experience: Lead Auditor certification and experience preferred – IATF16949 / VDA6.3 or other certificated/regulated standards.
  • Quality Management System Experience: Extensive experience of Quality Management System - IATF 16949:2016 / ISO9001:2015 / VDA6.3:2023 or other certificated management systems - system implementation, development, and maintenance experience.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
