Quality Management Systems Engineer

AESC UK is a leading manufacturer of electric vehicle batteries, operating a state-of-the-art Gigafactory in the UK. As a Quality Management Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's quality management system meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop the existing Quality Management System to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with Corporate QMS teams to develop group-level processes and documentation aligned with industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer audits and third-party audits.
  • Plan and conduct internal system audits across multiple production sites.
  • Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Outstanding Field Issues (OFIs), supporting auditees with corrective action and improvement plans.
  • Supervise QMS technicians and deliver Quality Management System training as required.

Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent in a related Quality Assurance/Systems/engineering or science subject.
  • Lead Auditor certification and experience preferred – IATF16949 / VDA6.3 or other certificated/regulated standards.
  • Extensive experience in Quality Management System implementation, development, and maintenance – IATF 16949:2016 / ISO9001:2015 / VDA6.3:2023 or other certificated management systems.
  • Experience in third-party audit/customer audit and internal systems audit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Driving license and vehicle.
  • Flexible for UK and occasional overseas travel.
  • Flexible working arrangements may be required during busy periods.
