Supply Chain Planner Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the supply chain to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated production and delivery strategies to optimize lead times and costs.
  • Analyze risks and costs associated with various supply scenarios to inform management decisions.
  • Plan, schedule, and expedite production of finished goods from overseas suppliers to achieve on-time, in-full availability of product.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and lead times.
  • Develop thorough understanding of supplier capacities and product lead times to ensure accurate planning and maximization of supplier efficiency.
  • Prioritize production schedules to meet changing customer needs.
  • Act as key point of contact between Sales and suppliers regarding product availability and expediting deliveries.
  • Close liaison with suppliers to highlight potential problems and alert SCM and Sales to changes that could jeopardize service levels.
  • Make recommendations for performance improvement and implement changes to maintain and increase competitiveness.
  • Update systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date logistics information is available at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a planner position or similar role.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits:

  • Permanent position.
  • Monday to Friday, 07:30am to 16:00pm.
  • Competitive salary of £30,000 to £35,000 (dependent on experience).
  • Competitive holiday package.
