About the Role
We are seeking a Volunteer Fundraising Assistant to join our team at Stockton Volunteers. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in helping us raise funds for Teesside Hospice.
Job Summary
The Volunteer Fundraising Assistant will be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation, and delivery of community fundraising activities, campaigns, and events. This will involve providing unpaid/voluntary help to assist with fundraising activities or events, researching potential support and promoting campaigns and events as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and preparation of community fundraising activities, campaigns, and events
- Provide unpaid/voluntary help to assist with fundraising activities or events
- Research potential support and promote campaigns and events as appropriate
- Assist with promotional opportunities
- Recruit event participants and support with stewardship of people raising funds for Teesside Hospice through our campaigns and events
- Support the work of the Community and Events Fundraisers
- Accept and follow Teesside Hospice policies and procedures
- Be willing to learn and participate in meeting and training programmes
- Communicate when not able to attend a shift
- Assist with event set ups, supervision, and clear down
- Help with distributing marketing materials for campaigns and providing information to the public
- Work with other volunteers as a team
- Complete documentation relating to the role
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy
- Ability to work as part of a team and occasionally independently
- Be polite and approachable
- Maintain a professional approach
Salary and Benefits
Estimated salary: £14,000 - £17,000 per annum. Benefits include 20% discount in our shops, skills and experience in fundraising and event management, opportunities for training and personal development, reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses, provided lunch, access to discounts with other retailers and companies, and 10% discount in the Northgate Tea Rooms.
