About the Role


The Senior Project Officer will play a key role in the Skills Bootcamps team, responsible for managing allocated providers to ensure quality and key performance metrics are achieved. This involves ongoing review of projects and taking proactive actions to manage programme outputs, primarily focusing on job outcomes for Londoners enrolled in skills bootcamps.


The successful candidate will lead a workstream, contributing to the team's overall success in delivering the Skills Bootcamps for Londoners programme. They must be flexible in their approach to work, as the project will evolve, and the team will need to adapt to changing circumstances.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provider management, focusing on key performance metrics
  • Collaborating with a mini-project team to achieve set objectives
  • Sharing good practice with team members
  • Engaging with project stakeholders, internally and externally

Requirements



  • Demonstrable experience of developing, managing, and delivering large-scale high-value projects and programmes in complex organisations
  • A thorough knowledge of programme and project management and control techniques
  • Evidence of well-developed IT skills, solid experience using financial management systems and processes, and excellent report writing skills
  • An understanding of local and national skills and employment funding streams, associated reporting, and the benefits of outcome-related funding models for both participants and funders
  • Experience of establishing and managing complex, and sometimes hostile, stakeholder relationships to achieve positive outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience of using strategic research and analytical skills to support and enable project and programme development, delivery, and evaluation
