AML Compliance Officer - Screening Alerts Administrator

Project Recruit is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Global AML Compliance Team. As an AML Compliance Officer - Screening Alerts Administrator, you will work to address regulatory issues, ensure compliance with current/developing rules and regulations, and correspond with regulators.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills around the Global AML Compliance Team's AML risk management processes and controls, working with colleagues to further develop and enhance the Global AML programme overall. This is a 6-month temporary contract with a possible extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escalating AML/sanctions/PEP alerts (hits) to the relevant compliance teams and liaising with them.
  • Familiarity with the regulated entities' definitions of PEPs and Adverse Media as well as adhering to the relevant parts of AML and Sanctions policies and procedures.
  • Performing basic research and investigation when required to discount screening alerts / hits.
  • Identifying any additional potential AML concerns to appropriate senior management during the screening alerts review process.
  • Performing client static data updates within the internal systems.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in KYC checks or similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of risk factors in AML/Financial Crime.
  • Knowledge of foreign languages would be a plus.
