Compliance and Risk Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Risk Professional to join our team at Compliance Professionals. As an AML / Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining and promoting a compliance culture that meets regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Compliance Culture and Risk Management: Assist in maintaining and promoting a compliance culture that meets regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of developments in relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  3. Compliance Advice: Provide advice to staff on compliance issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.
  4. Quality Assurance: Carry out quality assurance monitoring of First-Line review activities.
  5. AML Due Diligence: Check compliance with the Bank's AML due diligence procedures for Account Opening, Trade Finance, Periodic Reviews, and Transaction Monitoring.
  6. Investigations: Investigate fully reports from staff concerning money laundering suspicions and actual or attempted fraud.
  7. Training and Development: Assist in preparing and arranging delivery of Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering training to staff in conjunction with the MLRO.
  8. Conduct of Business Regulatory Compliance: Assist in reviewing Conduct of Business Regulatory Compliance activities as directed by the Head of Compliance.
  9. Training and Development: Arrange formal training for members of staff on money laundering controls and other relevant regulatory matters as appropriate to their job functions.
Requirements:
  1. Compliance Generalist: Compliance Generalist with Merchant Banking or Trade Finance experience. Please note that this is NOT a pure AML or KYC position.
  2. Financial Services Experience: Experience gained in a financial services/banking environment.
  3. Technical Ability: Technical ability and knowledge of relevant legislation and the FSA regulatory environment.
  4. UK Money Laundering Regulations: Experience of compliance with UK Money Laundering regulations and guidance.
