About the Role

The Executive Director for Clinical Strategy and Governance will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical strategy that underpins the continued transformation of our Trust.

This leadership position exists to empower our clinical workforce, equip them with data, expertise, and resources, and hold them accountable for quality care delivery.

As an equal partner alongside the Chief Medical Officer, you will provide professional expert advice to the Chief Executive and Board of Directors.

We are working collaboratively with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust and Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, reflecting a change in the improvement philosophy from competition to cooperation.

Main Responsibilities

The Executive Director has responsibility for:

  • Strategic planning and delivery of quality governance
  • Continued improvement of quality across the organisation
  • Professional leadership for nursing, AHP, and psychology workforce
  • Clinical governance (quality, patient safety, and experience), health and safety, emergency planning, co-production, and partnership with service users and carers

Responsibility for Trust-wide Infection Prevention and Control and lead for vaccination programmes is also included.

Clinical leadership is shared with the Chief Medical Officer.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
