HR and Learning & Development Manager

Medlock Partners is proud to partner with a reputable and successful nationwide construction business in identifying an exceptional HR and Learning & Development Manager to join their team.

About the Role

This brand new role has been created to support the evolving needs of the business, following a period of positive change. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in enhancing employee Learning & Development capabilities aligned with the business strategy and future needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate current L&D processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement the L&D strategy, working closely with the People Director.
  • Deliver training, primarily Leadership & Management training, and collaborate with managers to create and support individual learning, succession, and talent plans.
  • Identify and implement innovative methods for delivering training, learning, and development to maximize benefits for employees and the business.
  • Manage apprenticeship programs, ensuring appropriate selection and maintaining the Apprentice Levy account.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced L&D or HR professional, with a background in construction, manufacturing, or engineering. They will be willing to travel to different sites and maintain visibility across the entire business.

The successful candidate will have the ability to gather data and insights to identify learning needs, collect feedback, and continuously improve content.
