Manufacturing Systems Developer

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a world-leading company and contribute to its success. With a rich heritage dating back to 1968, the company has established itself as a key player in the production of automatic machinery for the lead acid battery industry.
As a Controls Engineer with our client, you will be responsible for delivering solutions that power some of the world's most renowned automotive engineering names. The role involves engaging in PLC, HMI, and Motion Control programming and modification, configuring software & hardware for networked control systems with distributed IO, integrating and programming vision systems for inspection & measurement tasks, providing prototype, new build, and existing equipment support in the field, and ensuring machine safety standards are met and overseeing documentation for manufacturing and customer support.
Key Requirements:
- HNC / HND or equivalent in a Software related discipline
- Proven experience of PLC, HMI and motion programming preferably using Rockwell Logix platform, Safety PLC, Kinetix motion control, Studio 5000 and FTViewME
- Knowledge and programming of robotic applications (Yaskawa)
- Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites, as required
