Job Description:

We are a dynamic family office based in central London, seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join our team on a temporary basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory audited accounts for one of our major investing companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly consolidated management and annual statutory audited accounts for the principal group, including several companies and a private equity business with international assets.
  • Assessing profitability and gains or losses in each investing company to mitigate tax exposure as the financial year progresses.
  • Preparing statutory accounts for various smaller subsidiaries.
  • Liaising with advisors in preparing and reviewing sets of accounts and tax returns.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in producing monthly consolidated and statutory accounts.
  • Good understanding of UK taxes, including corporation, income, and capital gains taxes.
  • Knowledge of Xero is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a close-knit team and make decisions rapidly.
  • Several years of experience in a family office, fund management, or investment management accounting.
