Job Opportunity: Senior Waste Consultant

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Waste Consultant to join our expanding Sustainability and Environment Division in London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering waste management projects and shaping policies across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage waste infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Business Development: Engage in business development, generating and following up on new opportunities across the UK and other key regions.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Government departments and stakeholders to deliver successful waste management projects that meet regulatory standards.
  • Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance on solid waste management projects, from strategic planning to facility design, with a focus on Waste to Energy, MRF, and MBT.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK/EU waste management legislation and global best practices.
  • Project Management: Prepare and manage complex project programs, contracts, and tender proposals.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and grow the team, driving professional development and organizational performance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Waste Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in engineering and waste management, with at least 3 years in a similar senior role.
  • Proven track record in UK waste management projects. GCC experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of EU/UK Solid Waste Management legislation.
  • Membership in the CIWM is advantageous.
  • Strong experience in planning, design, and monitoring of solid waste systems.
