Job Title: Operational Site HR Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our site HR team and provide a solid, effective HR service across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with, lead and support the site HR team
  • Support and coach Managers on HR Best Practice and continually develop leadership abilities and self-awareness
  • Manage and develop employee performance making sure high standards are maintained
  • Ensure legal compliance is achieved across the site
  • Take responsibility for overseeing the recruitment process, making sure that the appropriate skills and experience needed is achieved through effective resourcing and talent management and effective induction programme allowing effective integration into the business for all staff
  • Looking for ways to continually improve employee engagement, including employee wellbeing
  • Ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accurate
  • Taking ownership for the fair and consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance
  • Budget holder for Training and Development

Requirements:

  • CIPD level 5
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a leading HR position managing an HR team with site responsibility in HR
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, confident working as part of an operational site leadership team
  • Strong HR leader and excellent manager of HR team members
  • Good business acumen is essential and a real interest in site business and process
  • Ideally worked in manufacturing environment (blue/white collar)
  • Exposure to a wider broader HR role getting involved in many key areas of HR
  • Previously worked in a leading site HR role and as part of a wider UK HR team for a global business
  • Strong communication skills at all levels and good emotional awareness are key
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential, capable of drilling down to the detail and interested in finding out the facts/details/reasoning
  • Good problem-solving skills, solution finder and innovative thinker
