Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team at Boots Opticians. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centred care and ensuring the safe supply of medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide health advice and guidance to patients, ensuring they leave the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Deliver the technical aspects of the dispensary, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
  • Engage with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
  • Ensure efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services or working towards and having completed the first year of an MPharm course at university.
  • Completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to develop professional skills and knowledge through training and qualifications.
