Whitgift School, part of the John Whitgift Foundation, is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys with approximately 1550 pupils. It is set in an attractive 48-acre parkland site enjoying excellent links to London, Surrey, and the south coast.

We are seeking to appoint a School Administrator and this role reports to the School Office Manager (SOM). The responsibilities of an Administrator are to assist the area to which they are deployed through the provision of administrative support.

The position is available from September 2024 until July 2025; whilst the role description is relatively generalist, it is anticipated that the successful candidate will initially join the Languages Faculty as Languages Faculty Administrator.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a generous salary package including a money purchase pension scheme (plus Life Assurance Cover) and a range of family-friendly benefits and season ticket loan. Our estimated salary range for this position is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.

Job Description

This role involves assisting the Languages Faculty team through the provision of administrative support. As a flexible administrator, you will be deployed across various areas of the school, such as the Sixth Form Team or the School Office.

Primary line management responsibility is delegated by the SOM to the line manager of the area to which you are deployed. You may, from time to time, be assigned additional tasks by the SOM to balance workload.
