Speech Therapist for Learning Disabilities

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals providing care to individuals with learning disabilities.
Job OverviewThis permanent position is based in the geographical region and requires the successful candidate to work full-time, 40 hours per week, at three of our learning disability residential services. The salary for this role is £29,544 - £35,964 per annum.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering speech and language therapy services to residents, working closely with healthcare professionals and carers to promote independence and community integration.
- Thornfield Grange (2 days per week)
- Redlands (2 days per week)
- The remaining day will be dedicated to clinical administration and personal development.
The post holder will also have the opportunity to complete their post-basic dysphagia training in June 2025 and receive ongoing competency support.
Requirements- Placement experience or a strong interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Learning Disabilities
- A focus on person-centred support and planning
- An understanding of the importance of being a team player with a genuine desire to help others
- Good organisational skills
- A willingness to work flexibly in dynamic environments
- The ability to take direction from senior colleagues
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and passion
- Support with NQP competencies, including weekly meetings, access to an NQP Forum, and monthly Clinical Supervision
- An immediate peer network of SLTs working within Cygnet's Social Care Division and the wider SALT Team
- Post-Basic Dysphagia training in June 2025 and ongoing competency support
- Opportunity for collaborative working with healthcare professionals, family, and carers
- Routine service meetings with Cygnet Speech and Language Therapists
